I don't know what your husband's problem is, but I think belly button piercings are the best piercing for women outside of ear piercings. The navel is recessed, and with curved barbell jewelry that we have today, it is an ideal spot on the body for wearing jewelry.

Belly button piercing is growing in popularity more than many people know. There are literally thousands, if not millions of girls and women who have their belly buttons pierced, and for those that don't, there is an increasing number that want to get theirs done. There is a large variety of jewelry available for navels, too, and you can find them at almost any jewelry kiosk at any mall. Needless to say, the number of girls and women getting their belly buttons pierced today is literally skyrocketing.

I think the piercing of girls and women's belly buttons is going to soon be a customary thing for them, just like ear piercing, and one day all girls will have their belly buttons pierced around the time their bodies stop growing, say around the age of 15 or so. So, I think your husband should reconsider, and get up to date.

Perhaps you can show him how many women (and men too) have jewelry in their navels today.

It looks good to me. I got mine done on December 30, 2005 and my husband was like I can't believe you did that. I had a lot of guys react to it as I like to wear shirts that are not pushing down on it. My husband laughs at my reaction to the guys who actually think they are allowed to grab it when they want. All in all I think as long as you let him know this is your thing and not for all the guys out there... he might just ease up a bit. Tell him a lot more people have it done than he realizes. My husband bought me my first curved barbell as I was pierced with a cbr and it was quite a pain. Going on 3 months now and with the barbell it is healing a lot better.

hey, i thinks it cute. my hubby doesnt want me to get a tattoo.. maybe i can get a piercing instead.haha! if i dont like it i can always take it out. i did my belly button when i was like 16 and now its a scar,ughh but maybe i can get mine professional done. or just a little tattoo.. i dont know..

Maybe he is worried some guy may like it to much. Jealousy makes a man act like that. It looks like a typical good belly button piercing to me. Mine used to be pierced until I got pregnant and I took it out so enjoy it as long as you can. My husband liked mine when I had it.
