Comment: Some of the worst Chinese character writing I've seen.

Comment: It's very unkind of you to comment like that, this was my first tat and a very good asian friend of mine drew it for me.

Comment: Just because your friend's Asian doesn't mean s/he's good at writing/calligraphy. The first character looks to be written incorrectly--the top portion seems to combine strokes that should be separate, and is also too large relative to the rest of the character. The lower left part of the character is oddly placed and written, and the lower right part has spacing problems. All in all, that character is written horribly. The second character is written correctly, but not very attractively. The radical on the left of the character is too big compared to the rest of the character, and the portion on the right is similarly unattractive. As for meaning, what's this tattoo supposed to say? I can't find a word in Chinese or Japanese that combines these 2 characters. In Chinese, the first character means "radish" and the second one means "pull, drag, draw." In Japanese, the first character means "ivy," and the second one means "kidnap or crush." Sorry, but this just highlights the dangers of getting things tattooed on you in languages you don't yourself read.

Comment: The bad thing is that the comments of the others are on the negative, but are pretty much correct. The positive is that the tattoo was done really well and it made you happy. Not everyone can read chinese, let alone tell you how it should look. I'll agree with Tripper though, where you put the tattoo is absolutely beautiful.
