I like the idea of your work. Not to mention the color and detail is outstanding. I think you should add a koi on the lower right of your back with water spashing around it, and maybe a Japanese style dragon on the left shoulder. In Chinese and some Japanese myths, the koi evolves through the hardships of life (traveling upstream) and eventually becoming the wisest of creatures as the dragon. Just an idea...
