Tattoo Design Details:
| This is a tatt of my daughter when she was 3, it's taken from her first school photo. It's placed on my inner forearm
The artist was Matt, from Sharp Practice in Salisbury, England.
The photo doesn't really do the tatt (or my baby!!) justice, as it very hard to take a picture of your under forearm by yourself!

 |
 |
|
More Details:
| Just to clarify things for a few people, I'm not Maori, I'm English. I'm not pretending that my chest plate, sleeve & calf are 'proper' Maori tatts. They are simply designs I like, that's all, NO MORE, NO LESS!!rnThey are in this section because it was the most suitable out of what was offered! |

Bob, the 'two connected chickens' r actually chinese fire and water dragons!! representing the battle of equilibruim that's constantly raging inside all of us. (ha!) the 'spiral thig' was a dseign of my own i had done when i was a teenager (bit of a mistake)
the one on my calf just looks cool and doesn't mean anything, i have a lot of polenisian style tatts, and it was just keeping in theme with them! |

Thanks for the comment. I have really "fallen" for my dragon. I am in a lack of money and the dragon is sitting half finished on my back. I am hoping things will change and I will be able to have him finished for the spring & summer. I love the dragons on your back. Do you have plans to color or shade them in? Not sure what the "chicken" guy is taking about. But as I learned in school, those who are mean to you are only jealous of you. |

'chock' thanks for the link to the very intresting website. but i don't have a fasination with this culture at all, the tattoos i chose, were chosen because i like the designs and nothing else. and your right i know nothing about this culture (well a bit more after visiting www.mokoink.com), but then i never claimed i did, or even want too! the tiki mask is just a design i like! and the sleeve and chest plate is a unique piece as my artist cut and chopped three designs i liked and made them in to one. My tatts are labeled as 'polynesian style' as it seemed the most appropiate heading out of what was offered to me!! |

fair enough joobs its good work just alot of people label there work as maori or polynesian, the rules are alittle different in this country when it comes to getting maori or polynesian work for a start you get stop in the street and asked who did the work what tribe your from. people take great offence when it comes to there culture.
each to there own joobs tatts are tatts. |

Bloke above, what a wanker!!
If you could be bothered (or if you even can) read, about 4 comments up you'll see that I did call them 'polynesian STYLE'. Also as I said above, my tattoos are just labeled as this as it seemed the most appropiate heading out of what was offered when i joined the site.
My artist informed me last week, the sleeve and chest plate are designed by someone from the polynesian island of Samoa. But at the end of the day, in my country you pick or draw a design you like, then you get inked. My tattoos are not a statement or anything of the sort, just designs I like.
paraphrasing your good self "nothing fucks me off more than people who make quick judgements without even reading previous comments".

The only one's that mean anything, are the portraits of my baby-girl, and my wifes fingerprint. The rest are just decoration. The two large dragons, are two different tattoo's that me and my artist (matt @ sharp practice, salisbury, uk) made into one large tatt. they're chinese fire and water dragons, supposed to represent the good and bad, but i had them inked because i liked them! the same goes for the 'polynesian STYLE' tatts, i don't know if they represent anything, but i like how they look on me!! hope this helps |

Thanks for the comment on my pin-up... She's actually the UN-Virgin Mary. :) Your Tiki is cool, but if you added some nice color bomb with traditional but bright tropical colors and a backdround of new skool water and hibiscus flowers or cherry blossoms, it would really POP! Just from one artist to a collector... my opinion... and make sure and let me know when you put up the pin-up that I "inspired" you to get. *flattered look on my face* |

I like your tattoos. I have read the posts above so I won't comment on how they aren't Maori at all - think that has been well and truly covered now!
FYI - the tiki in NZ is completely different to the tatt you have. I reckon it looks like it's from Rapanui/Easter Island, like someone else said.
Not hating on your tattoos at all. The ones of your daughter are so cute! See ya |
