I just got this traditional Chinese phoenix to complement my tiger (I'm year of the tiger) to commemerate my daughters birth. My artist, 'Cancer' is a prodigy @ STR8 TRIPPIN in Modesto. This tattoo I drew combines two of my biggest loves. My love for the fire service, and my love for tattoos. It represents those fallen in the line of duty, and what better way to express it then the gear of a fallen firefighter hanging on the cross almost appearing as they are still ready to respond to any life threatening call.

This was my first tattoo. I got it at 19. I've had a little work done to this tatt since to sharpen lines. The original artist that did this tattoo wasn't exactly sober and drew it free hand instead of taking the copy of what i wanted and tracing.
