That is some great shading! The little suction things almost look 3d. I definitely agree with the muted background idea. I'd almost stick black and grey. Great tattoo!

If you get more stick with the nautical theme and the same artist. Merritt Island, by the way, is a nice area. I used to be stationed at Patrick.

completely original in every way, cool concept, looks like the artist pulled it off, make sure the background is a bit muted so as not to take away from this focal point
