I say get the tattoo. Do it portrait style-tongue hangin out and all. He's got a great face for drawing. And you could even get his name and birth date in like a gangsta-type cursive. It would be a raw ass tat. And if you truly love the dog, you'll never regret it. Dogs are loyal, right? Get with a portrait tattoist. It'll cost more, but they will do a great job.

just as a side note, if you as a female client walk into my shop and ask for this dog, i might try to steer you another way....nothing wrong with the dog, but depending on location, you may regret this tattoo later

i couldnt disagree more....perhaps getting guidance from those of us who have been around the block is a great idea, but the final decision rests with those who get inked. she has to live with it for all of eternity, if she cant decide that for herself, then she isnt ready.....my best advice is this, research what you want, go to an artist who has done many tattoos of the subject matter, and style you like. save up, go to a pro, and have them show you their portfolio.....dont take it lightly, many people get stuck with bad ink.....good luck to you

i disagree A2...people look for advise from people who know just that little bit more about tattoos and tattooing.altho we cant tell people what to get done we can steer them in the right direction..on this ocassion i would advise babygurl to look at as many animal tattoos as she can and then wait a while..if she still wants the tattoo..then shes ready.
