nice start...finish the coloring and then you can always go back and add to the design. Mabey some chrysanthiums and water swirls. Where did you get the outline done?

Thanks for your comments on my koi. If you are definitely going to go for a full sleeve then I agree that you should get the complete outline then colour it. It will look wonderful when complete, go for bright colours on the koi and on the flowers with black and grey wash for the rocks and water. Maybe some blue highlights in the water splashes like on mine. Google image search and this site will be your best friend for ideas and colour schemes. Hope this helps, TEMPA

Colour 1st then worry about finishing the sleeve. When you do get to finish it you could always continue the Koi and water theme by having the upper arm done in a Japanese water style. Put some rocks, water and flowers on there and the Koi can be swimming in the river. Have seen some excellent Japanese water and flower tattoos. Put a lotus or two, some cherry blossoms and add colour for a truly righteous sleeve. TEMPA
