As to your explanation about the second character, there's no way that a bulging muscle would be able to shift the bottom character that way, or if it DOES then the tattooer could have taken that into account. Anyway, for a kanji tattoo it's one of the better ones I've seen.

In repsonse to the other comments, if you look closely it looks like the second character is slightly to the left, but that is only because my tricep is making it look that way. Trust me the guy took his time in making it straight up and down (whole line exampl you gave). Just because the two strokes are not even does not mean that it isn't a nice design. Remember your preference is different from mine. We are all unique in our likes and dislikes...which is what makes us each special...but hey thanks for the comment...

This just goes to show that even native speakers aren't always great at writing their own language. Although the individual characters are quite nice ("praise, adoration" -- sort of an odd tattoo, no?), the placement is a little off. The characters should be placed so that you are able to draw a straight line through the centre of both. In your case, the second character is noticeably shifted to the left. Also, the two lower strokes on the second character are slightly uneven. Also, the characters seem a little large--imagine the word "PRAISE" tattooed in huge capital letters in the same place. All in all, though, not too bad for a kanji tattoo.
