I can indeed confirm that non-English speakers get bad tattoos in English, but is that any excuse for shitty kanji tattoos? Not only is this character badly written, it's a stupid thing to get tattooed on your body.

You should have gotten something more meaningful like-"DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT" and have it inked on your forehead, it would suit you better.

i can tell that it says dog... but it still doesnt look right. japanese/chinese take their calligraphy seriously, its an art, their culture..... you cant stray too far away from the brush strokes..... a 5 yr old japanese kid could tell you its wrong. please go back to your tattoo "artist" and let him/her know this... and to research better.

How does that tattoo even amount to anything? On a shoulder that size, and he is wearing something the size of a sticker. Come on... Granted, the line work and the packing of the black is good, but who is to say without seeing the original if (s)he followed the pattern at all. For all this guy knows, it may say something totally different if they didn't follow the Kanji exactly!
