The phoenix is very important to me, so it seemed fitting to get one. The guy from Ink'n'Um in Calumet City, IL did an amazing job. 2.4hrs, fair price. Concept was originally from an image of an egret I saw, he mutated it into the phoenix it is now. It is my first 'real' tat, I have 2 small ones. What do you think?

Very nice. I've been thinking of getting a phoenix added to my back and this is how they should look: very simple, distinctive color scheme. I like the fact that there is no mistaking it for anything else. If the phoenix is an important enough symbol to get tattooed on your body, then it shouldn't look like a peacock, eagle, etc.. Really cool. Thanks for showing us.
