I would definitely add color to this piece. I would either use the orginial colors that Amy Brown used (Reds and oranges) or to make it a little bit more unique maybe use a color theme using your favorite color (it would make it more personalized and different from others who have the same design). but it is definitely beautiful, you got a 10 from me :o)
