Comment: Kate began working on this while she was visiting me in CO. back in the summer of 05. She worked on this particular piece for many days and nights nonstop. The visual artist by no stretch of the imagination rips off ideas from other artists. Whoever said that is a bit naive. From my own experiences in the world of music, 'influence' is probably the term to use not to mention how complimentary 'artistic influence' is. So, Tara should be most flattered.. Kate is a phenomenal mulitmedia artist. She works extremely hard and is immensely devoted to her work.
And by the way Decay...love your tatoo!

Comment: Yeah, it resembles Tara's work, Tara is a very talented artist. The point is this piece was done by Kate and thats all that matters. Had this piece been Tara's it would not only still be on my back but I would have thanked her for the inspiration for my first tattoo. Tara's work is Tara's work and Kate's work is Kate's work and thats all anyone needs to know..........

its a reoccuring theme that is very prevalent in Tara\\'s work...I immediatly thought of Tara when I saw this piece that the other artist did. I was actually kind of surprised it was published.

Comment: i saw that image too...its a straight rip off of the artist tara mcpherson. I have looked at kate crosgrove's work before and she does oil paintings that look nothing like this piece she did for that magazine...but the tattoo artist reproduced it well.
