Thanks for your comments everyone. Sean - I think I may either color the eagle and leave the banner black and grey, or I will color the flag and leave the eagle black and grey. Mark does amazing work, and I am very proud to wear this on my back. |

I guess theres a similarity. Not enough for a call out. Every artist is influenced by other artist. In the tattoo community if your not influenced by guy your doing something wrong. This piece is located centrally on the upper back. Where guys is a full back piece. This has way fewer feathers in the wings The banner is drawn the way mark draws banners and has for a while. The lettering well you get the point. I'm not gonna sit here and say this ones better than guys but your on your way to having a nice tattoo, as I said before. |

I agree that there is a similarity to guys, but i know how mark tattoos and he has made this piece his own. your always gonna have similarities in your work to others, and thats not a bad thing. people share common interests and you will never get away from that. if you can't appreciate the influences you get from other artists then you will never grow. i'm not saying that mark had referenced guys piece before hand or do i know if that he had even seen it, but for those of you who just want to knock someone down, there is always someone better out there than you in anything that you do and you could take advantage of that to learn a thing or two to better yourself , or you could sit around pretending that you've reach your potential and waste away. |

you people on this site are jackasses. this piece is simply incredible, probably the best piece on this site. someone is purposely voting this low, why?!?! jealousy? professional or otherwise?? Jason dont worry, this is one of the finest tattoos I have ever seen.. Nice rendition of the flag raising..have you seen the movie "Flags of Our Fathers " yet? You should check it out...cleared alot of things up for me. I was raised a military brat so I could easily see that bieng the senario..not trying to take away from the piece, no disrepect ok? Nice job on lady liberty..much better than one I saw done off a coffee can lol. your wash has come a long way from when we worked together. See I told you, you need to be using wash more often but whats the YOUNG BUCK know? lol Are we going to see color soon? Or is this staying black and gray?

OK one more post on this.... if I had to nit pick I would say that I PERSONALLY am not fond of the face of the eagle...I feel like it should be facing more to the front so we could see the other side of the face and get a lil more animation out of the piece...again NIT PICKN overall nice bad piece be happy camaro guy LOL :) Sean |

Nice patriotic tattoo but too bad your own government was behind 9/11. The Statue of Liberty's face looks like that of a fat 6th grader and just an FYI, the Statue of Liberty was made in France so the "American Made" above it doesn't really fit. One last thing, all the steel from the Twin Towers was shipped and sold directly to China before the FBI had a chance to investigate it for demolition materials. |
