Give me your thoughts on this. Would you consider this pretty good?

I wanted a pin up so I decided on the sailor look. and I threw in a twist and had my artist give her alot of old school sailor tattoos.

I got this piece done about a year ago. I'd like ideas of what to add in the background (I'm trying to obtain a sleeve from the elbow to the shoulder). I don't want too much color (in the background) so that the existing caricature will be emphasized. All input considered.

I'm Haylea, and I got this phoenix bird tattoo in August of 2007. It is on my left rib cage, which was a very painful area to have tattooed. What does everyone think?
