The Star of Life was designed by Leo Schwarts, EMS Branch Chief at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The star of life was created in 1973. Each bar on the Star of Life represents one of six functions of Emergency Medical Svc: Detection, Reporting, Response, On scene care, Care in Transit, and Transfer to Definitive Care.
This tattoo is just part of what im doing. its a custom cross I designed and my artist help modify to make it original. next step is going to be the word faith down the side. after that there will be angel wings and my mothers name and bday and day of passing on my other arm. to complete the tattoo! its a in memory/religeou tattoo.

It's not a palm tree, but that is the closest category I could find. This was a custom drawn piece done by Bud Weeks at Ink Addiction. It got it in memory of my mother. I love it and I just wanted to share it.
It took me over 7 year sto find someone that could come up with something I liked and Earl has done a great job! We couldn't find exactly what I wanted so he just drew it on my back and I loved it so he outlined it in the 1st session. 2nd session he did the clouds, the 3rd he did the eclipse and wing shading and I just got some color for the 4th.
