Isnt It sort of... i dont know Strange, that in Leviticus it directly states that A person is supposed to present the body as a living sacrifice and temple to God, and that you are not to mark or Tattoo your body.. but yet.. people get religious tattoos all the time? Mind you it doesnt bother ME because thats not a conviction of mine.. however.. just a though. Looks good though. |

Suzy--
Yes. Letvicus does state not to get tattoos. However, what it states is not to tattoo our bodies in a form of mourning someones death.
For example:
The tattoo above according to letvitcus isn't going against God's will
however say if my brother died and I went out right away and to mourn his death got a tattoo of his name and dates on my body it would be going against God's will.
Also we have to remember Letvitcus is the old testament before Christ so from a Christian perspective theres a lot of stuff that is contradicted from the old testament to the new testament becuase it took place before Christ came into play.
A lot of "christians" will use the letvicus scripture for tattoos to put it down. But what a lot of people don't realize they do is this:
the actual scripture is this:
Leviticus 19:28
" 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.
However a lot of christians will change the wording to "Do no put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD" becuase of the "or" in there. Not taking into the fact the "or" is still talking about the dead.
When I do see people changing the words I correct them as well. For the sheer fact that in Revelations it states anyone that changes anything in "this book" meaning the bible in general not just revelations that they will surely go to the lake of fire for eternity.
Hope this clears some stuff up :) |

See I have to disagree with you there Teresa. But at the same time I have to agree. What I mean by that is every year as the christian religion we remember Jesus on the cross. And every year we remember him rising again.
The cross symbolizes his forgiveness. With him on it for me it symbolizes not only the forgiveness but as well as the pain he endured for each one of us. |

The true saying is : "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Care of the one and only true writing of the Holy Bible- The King James Version :P |

Great tattoo! I love the style, it looks great.
I too have a cross tattoo, it has a banner around it with "Blood Bought" on it. It is all about our faith, and I get questions & comments all the time. God bless you! |
