I had each side of my collar bone surface pierced about 4 days ago. I luckily got them done with surface bars. I'm hoping they end up lasting a long time, but I know the rejection rate is high.

I have the same, but closer to the wrist also. I've had it for 7 months. It doesn't seem to be growing out, but it still looks bruised. I love it. Even if it does eventually grow out, I'll have it re-done.

i got the same but closer to my wrist. i have got 2 black cones on the ends tho. i got mine a little under a year ago for the same reasons. i use a curved bar tho.

I have to same piercing as you had. Its also growing out....Its a good idea to try it again because the second time the pierce youre scarred skin...and then its harder to grow out!

If done properly, surface piercings can last quite a while. In your case it was a matter of improper jewelry. Find a good piercer that uses surface bars. In the past I used curved barbells and PTFE with no problems as you can see on my profile but a surface bar is the way to go.

I got the same thing on both arms in just about the same spot just i think mine are a little longer, bout an inch and a half. My piercer used PTFE instead of a surface staple bar or a straight steel bar. Its been about 3 weeks now and so far so good.

I don't really know what the purpose of this piercing is? It looks pretty freshly done though. I like it, it's inventive and I like it when people do things that aren't generally recongnized but it is still pretty odd!!!

From what I've read about most surface piercings, all of them start to grow out. Most surface piercings are also starting to become more and more common, so the chances of getting one that not many people have, will be really slim.
