Tattoo Design Details:
This is my 3rd tattoo and by far the largest but with the most meaning behind it. It is a more feminine phoenix bird that was drawn up for me by the artist. I got this tattoo as a new start on my life and to remind me of all the tough things I have overcome. I am sure it's not my last!
More Details:
This piece ended up not being a traditional Phoenix bird..but I liked the more feminine curves in this drawing when it was done. I also went with non-traditional Phoenix colors. I am thinking of adding flames in the background? Any thoughts on this? I got this piece to help hide stretchmarks also, I think it's a great distraction! Hope it helps other people!

Comment: Thanks for the comment on my ink! I love the colors on your butterfly. The phoenix is a great idea. I'm not sure about how tattoos go over stretch marks though. If you find out that is possible let me know cause I have a few I'd like to cover up too :-)

Comment: Thanks for the comment! I actually just CHANGED my Hibiscus - - finally! Yours is adorable! I love how BRIGHT the Butterfly is! My Turtle took about an hour of ink & the Flower took nearly 3 the first time & about 1.5 to correct it. OUCHY! "-)

Comment: thanks for the comment on muh tatt's... i want to get a small tatt on either side of my inner ankles? symbolizing love and luck (my fiance and i are getting married in June!!) or maybe behind each ear. as for the stomach tatt, i'm going to sugar coat it...but it hurts like a BITCH!! you'll definately need a pain killer or two to make it thru that one... but good luck!! :)

From: eclipsebella on January 30, 2006
Comment: the phoenix was my first choice for my second tat. I ended up deciding to get wings. It stinks though my b/f wants me to wait til summer but w/e its cool. cute tat 9

Comment: Fantastic tat. As long as your stomache stays flat. When I think of a Phoenix, I think of fire, so I would do it in reds, oranges & yellows. The new inks are so vivid and hold well. Judging from your butterfly your skin tone takes color well. So do I. I have tats over 30 years old still holding their colors. Good Luck

Comment: thanx for the comment on mine. yes it hurt on my side mainly on my hip. it took a long time to heal there, its been 5 weeks since i got it and hip bone is still tender. :)

From: mntinxtreme on February 5, 2006
Comment: thanks for the comment! Ok, colors I think you choose from puple, red, or orange, they look the best on colors a combo of all would be good they are also the most vibrant looking and are a good color to stand out! I know you will want a little of other colors as well but the main ones those. This is also just my opinion! Good Luck! Im sure it will look great no matter what!

Comment: hey, thanks for your comments :) Your phoenix looks like it is off to a good start ... can't wait to see it 'rise from the ashes' *hehe* I love color in my tattoos, so if you still need color ideas, I would use blues and deep pinks and purple, then shade with black and gray. Good luck :)

From: tatuato on February 11, 2006
Comment: I like it! The disposition of lines is very equilibrate :) In this zone is so sensual, every subject becomes more impressive. Give it beatiful colors, strong. With a little of shadings, not too much.. ;

Comment: Lacy! Awesome girl! Purple looks amazing! Wow! Just is totally different! If you want the yellow to stand out more have the artist make it a more rich and brighter yellow is all! I think that would seal the deal! Incredible tat! The way the blue compliments the purple just great color shading and mixing! Give the artist a 10 on that! I gave you a solid 10! If you change it please let me know!
