It sucks when the tattoo artist won't do what you want. I just went through that when i added to my back tat a month ago (he wouldn't do something that i drew for myself) it's very frustrating. I think the bold colors look nice though, maybe they will fade later to be more like what you wanted. I don't think i'd really add anything to that though, don't want it to look too busy.

Also, you could have the lips outlined (or re-outlined) to make the expression more pronounced. I like it, and nevermind Josh, he is an ass**le. He insults everyone. :-)
