Comment: Thanks guys... With 2 awards under its belt already, another for the Gordita and 1 for the Sacred Tatertot, I've had a good run in the past. I've also won Best portrait 4 times for my Marilyn Monroe and Elvis on my thigh. Pics to come soon! I will provide links to all the artists later.

Comment: THANKS! This portrait only has a touch of white in the eyes, nose and lips, to add the spark. I do have another portrait done By Dan Hazelton that is in color, the dog is mostly white. It appears to be doing ok - but I did just get it done in Sept. 06 so I have not had it long. What shop or where were you working at the convenition? My brother in-law sells machines he makes so he was there too.

Comment: I was a floor whore promoting a couple of artists, but I was mostly drinking and networking, finding guestspots for myself. If the white has held this long, keep up with the sunscreen (SPF 50 I reccomend) and it should hold as long as possible. Who is your brother-in-law and what kind of machines are they? I have a collection of about 60 machines I have (most of them never used) so I may actually own one, if he is a good builder. OR may even want to own one.

Comment: re-my spider palm if u looked at the healed photo u wouldn't have to write the shit you did,it explains itself. secondly it was my brother who did this and explained all aspects of the palm skin rejuvenation ,after which said what the fuck and purely got this piece for the shock value that you just dont see anymore(hence your fashion accesories) call me stupid but my hand has to be one of the biggest talking points on this whole friggin site

Comment: Wow. This guy takes constructive criticism like a little girl who lost her lollipop. People who get tattooed for shock value rather than for personal pride disgust me. Getting tattooed is a personal experience and this person does not seem to understand why people with any sense decorate their bodies, no matter what form that decoration may take. Doing it for other people makes getting a tattoo only a billboard screaming out your personal inadequacies and lack of self-worth.

Comment: hey man, the work is fukin great!! beautiful color work on all your pieces!!!! however , the people who get ink for "shock value" or for no personal reasons are the ones who feed the industry of tattoos. if those who only got work for the shear art of it, shops would not be so successful. flash work and all other "boring pieces" pay the bills so the real collectors have shops to go to.if your referring to the "popular spiders on the hand, then i totally agree that it isnt the best piece and far from deserves its ratings.the work isnt done well and id hate to see it in 3 years when the spiders look like blobs. great art though bud!

Comment: Thanks darlin'. I realize that's what pays my bills and keeps my shop open, but whatever happened to art for the sake of art? When did Artists go from "starving" to "money hungry trend whores?" I suppose I'm just idealistic and still want to preserve what little purity is left in the industry. Thanks for the comment.

Comment: And I'm no man.... I'm female. I realize the stigma of only men getting large work is still circulating, even I sometimes fall victim to that. I'm just out to change it.

Comment: my apologies i didnt see a sex there:) its the new age of artists that are money hungry. the amateur scratch artists that are getting in this idustry to make money and not art. ive been doing tattoos for 8 years and i left the industry to do them from home to get away from the average flash. i find i get more creative work now that i can afford to be selective.i think the industry of tattoos will slow down in about 5 years and only leave the true collectors and the true artists in the shops...hopefully:)

Comment: I agree... Let's get the scratchers out of our shops and eliminate the CHOP SHOPS that make us all look bad! Power to the true artists and die-hard collectors!
