Hi! This tattoo was 3 months old at the time this was taken. I have collected mermaids for many years and when I saw this gorgous picture, i was in love instantly. I tihnk you got riped off.... I know for a fact that that image was drawn by an artist from deviantart.com. So if your tatto artist said he created it for he lied big time and now im seeing more and more people with the same tattoo. But it is still very nice...
Thanks for your concern. I found the origial line drawing on Elfwood, actually many years ago. My artist was given this picture and i told her where I wanted to put it. She had the idea of the intertwining hair and to do it in black and grey. My appologies on your missunderstanding of how I have it worded. All credit is definately due to the original artist of this beautiful drawing.
gorgeous application of a drawing - perfect for your lower back, and unusual since mermaids are so often on arms and other kinda vertical places as opposed to horizontal here - it really works.
