| About Me: | I am a gay femme hippie chick vegetarian looking for friends! I am an open and generous friend and love to be surrounded by friends and loved ones at all times. I like to be take seriously intellectually although I don't tend to be "in your face" about my opinions, I like to be around people where I don't HAVE to be! I like herbal teas and am a vegetarian, but I'm not militant about it! It's an intention rather than a religion for me. I practice yoga and am losing weight and trying to lead a healthy lifestyle so the next half century can be as much fun as the first! I am infinitely fallible, never ever vindictive, tend to tip too much, compliment too readily, and forgive too easily. I just think there is more to be gained by thinking positive rather than negative thoughts. And I accept that I and my friends will make mistakes in trying new things and just "trying on life". Friendship is about helping one another through these things; not about holding them against one another. |
| Likes: | - I enjoy community theater. - I love Thai and Vietnamese food (Pho is my favorite food ever!) as well as vegetarian Indian and Mediterranean (I love the buffet at "Taste of Galilee" on I75 in Plano). I love to try new foods and local cafes. I really really like Cosmic Cafe! I like Starbucks, but prefer local coffee shops when I can find them. - I like jazz, alt (Altan, Alanis, Tracy Bonham), and stand up comedy. I do NOT like big concerts, but small venues are really cool. - I get noise fatigue real easy and start getting cranky (which is really really not a pretty thing!) so I tend to stay away from loud and crowded places like bars. - I like to go to the movies but really don't like "blockbusters", preferring "Waitress" to "Body of Lies". I CANNOT GO TO HORROR MOVIES!!! I get nightmares JUST SEEING THE POSTERS!!! - My tv tends towards the Discovery Channel, A&E, Logo. - I enjoy reading a lot of stuff, but tend towards the metaphysical, sciences, etc. - I am "not your average bear" (and yes, if you know where this phrase originated I'm buying our first latte!). If you are hung up on appearance in any way, we're probably not going to hit it off. If you can accept me for who I am intellectually and emotionally then we're probably going to be good friends. |
