Tattoo Design Details:
This is the bottom half of a tattoo im getting worked on. Not finished. Need to get all the coloring etc done. Got any suggestions on how to color the scroll? My husband is working on this tattoo.

I live in Payson, UT and I will be opening my own tattoo/piercing shop this year. I have 3 kids and have been married for going on 3 yrs this year.
i think the scroll needs more details, not just coloring. so far it just looks like a squiggly circle. ive seen some online where they look realistic, like aged treasure maps. the edges were torn a bit and cracked and darkend. there was shading around the botton and side to make it look 3D like it was floating on the skin. but there was one that had too mcuh shading on the inside which distracted away from the kanji. i was thinking of doing that for my kanji, but i think mine is too big.... and i think the 2nd one from the bottom should be colored in because the outline is a little off, but the others are perfect!
