Yin Yang
The Yin Yang is an ancient Chinese symbol rooted in I-Ching philosophy. The ancient Chinese noted that during the duration of the year, the celestial bodies that make up the big dipper would rotate in different directions depending on the season; when the dipper points to the east, it's spring; when the dipper points to the south, it's summer; when the dipper points to the west, it's fall and when the dipper points to the north, it's winter. Combining these four polarities with following the changes in shadow distance from a concentric circle measured from a single point, they illustrated a chart in the swirling form of the Yin Yang; Yin being darkness and Yang being light. With the notion that opposites are equal, Yin represents woman and Yang is like man. Yang couldn't grow without Yin and Yin couldn't give birth without Yang. In astrological terms, the little circle in Yin is marked on the summer solstice position and another little circle is marked on the winter solstice position. In general, the entire Yin Yang symbol is a Chinese representation of the entire celestial phenomenon but transcends cosmology as being a representation as the never ending recycling of existence.

Dragon (Eastern)
The Chinese or Japanese dragon's anatomy is created from a variety of animal features such as the body of a snake, the scales of a carp, horns of a stag, the face of a camel, the ears of a bull, the neck of an iguana, the belly of a frog, and the talons of an eagle and the paws of a tiger with fire erupting from its limbs. Japanese legend has it that a carp spawning upstream will transform into a dragon once it traverses the dangers of a tall waterfall. Eastern dragons are quite different than their ancient Western counterparts as this dragon symbolizes benevolence and wisdom rather than creatures of destruction. In China, dragons are often pictorialized on tomb stones as the dragon is believed to control the movement of the heavens and dragons can sometimes be seen clutching a pearl; the pearl being symbolic of the understanding of the nature of the universe. Formal Eastern dragons are depicted with one hundred and seventeen scales; eighty one infused with Yang (good) and thirty six infused with Yin (bad). The dragon it's self is a manifestation of Yin Yang being that opposites are equal. There are three families of the Eastern dragon; all typified by the numbers of toes from three to five. Three toed dragons are Japanese, four toed dragons are Indonesian or Korean and five toed dragons are Chinese.

Obviously IAB has too much time on their hands if he cant find anything else better to do all day than dog peoples artwork! He probably doesnt have any tats cause he is too much of a pussy to handle the pain! If he does they probly suck and thats why he has no profile, hes to embarassed to show them. I think the dragon and yin yang kicks ass. |

That is a well performed tattoo... looks good.
10 on execution...but....6 on design..looks like a rush job as far as belly scales and flame shape go (drawing not tattooing...5 hours, I know..),
but thats just personal preference..Artistic expression changes with each artist so there's no really bad artwork just labored patterns performed with no love and most of the times using fewer than humanly normal brain cell count.
