The verse reads: "Naked I came from my mother's womb and naked I will depart, the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, may the name of the Lord be praised." To me, the rose is very symbolic, it represents life, youth, love, and beauty, but the thorns remind me to not hold on to those things too tight, or I'll just end up hurting myself.
