My mother passed away a few months ago after a 2 year battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Though I always said I'd never get a tattoo I decided that I needed to do this as a tribute, 2 weeks later I had my appointment with Nate and we came up with this design together. Notice the ribbon ends in "M M" at the bottom (stands for Multiple Myeloma) and in between there is a knot in the wooden cross which looks like an "O"...so it spells out MOM. The beach scene reflects on my mothers love of travel
