This is only the beginning of a much larger tattoo. It says "Bushido", which is the Japanese code of honour, something I believe very strong in (there is a modern version of this that does not involve suicide). I just got the 7 virtues tattooed in, and the next step is to get a border around the symbols, eventually with a spread winged phoenix.
