Advertising has become a huge part of our society today.  Billboards, logo t-shirts, posters, hats, coffee mugs, and towels all with brands and companies plastered across the most visible spots.  Many times, the company will give you free merchandise just so that you will wear it/use it to advertise for the company.  But even more often, people will pay top dollar for a logo that is printed on a shirt or hat.  Companies make millions from their logos because it is the company that the customers are often looking for, not just any shirt or hat.

People tend to fall in love with certain brand names.  They feel safe and comfortable knowing that they have purchased a new pair of jeans or shoes because it has the “Gap” tag on the inside or the Nike “swoosh” on the side of the sneaker.  And often, they remain loyal customers for years.   Brands and companies have even made their way into the tattoo industry over the past several years.  People have begun getting tattoos of their favorite logos and brand names.  This extreme brand loyalty is becoming a craze, with the most popular brand tattoo being Harley Davidson tattoos.  Other trendy brand and company tattoos include Disney and Coca-Cola.  Harley Davidson tattoos have certainly enjoyed a reputation as the oldest, most popular brand tattoo there is.  Because bikers tend to be more tattoo-hungry than most others, and Harley Davidson is the favorite motorcycle company around, this combination affords Harley Davidson tattoos to be the most common brand tattoo there is.

Aside from fans and loyal customers, many others are following the trend of getting tattoos of brands and companies.  A growing number of CEOs and other executives for large companies have been getting tattooed with their company’s name and/or logo.  They feel this is a great way to identify with the company on a higher level, as well as express their extreme loyalty and love for their company.  Additionally, models commonly will walk around launch parties and events wearing temporary tattoos of brands and companies and logos to help advertise that which is being presented.

Before you rush to get a tattoo of your favorite brands and companies, just remember that the tattoo will be with you for the remainder of your life.  Will you absolutely be a Nike fan in thirty years?
