Tattoo Design: Tribal And Celtic

There are zillions of variations of any given tattoo design.  Tribal and Celtic designs are two good examples of tattoo designs that are often manipulated into different body art forms.  Every tattoo is different, even when their concepts and designs are similar.  Each tattoo is created by a different artist, on a different part of the body, in a different color, and on a different person, many of them adding their own personal twists.

The selection process may be difficult when looking for the perfect tattoo design.  Tribal and Celtic tattoos include some of the hottest designs around because they look terrific and because they represent something cool.  Tribal tattoos and Celtic tattoos are similar in that respect in that they both represent an idea or a concept, rather than simply being an image.  Their meanings cannot be described in a word or a title, but rather in a feeling that is conveyed through the message of the tattoo.

Tribal tattoos are characterized by bold black lines, dense curves, sharp points, and patterns.  Typically the tribal design will illustrate an image or idea in an abstract way.  Celtic tattoos usually contain smooth curves, repetitive patterns, and knots that have no beginning or end.  Celtic designs also symbolize an abstract idea.

Tribal and Celtic tattoos are also both specific to their own land and people.  They come from a specific culture and part of the world.  Over time, they have spread throughout many cultures to become universal symbols.  Today, the various tattoo designs, tribal and Celtic specifically, have become popular forms of body art everywhere.
